FAQs
Why did I create the Charmory?
1
In 2016, I first started using crystals, keeping them in my pocket. Eventually, I felt drawn to wear them, so I began wrapping them with wire—though not very well at first. I made small pieces for friends and family. Around 2021, while out with an ex-acquaintance, someone asked who made his crystal piece, and he said "himself." That sparked my interest to dive deeper into it.
Can I get my crystals wet?
2
Yes, most crystals can get wet, but some may lose their luster and appeal after contact with water. Crystals and gemstones like opals or those ending in "-ite" are generally not water-friendly. At The Charmory, we use high-quality materials like stainless steel, solid brass, and solid copper. These materials are excellent conductors of energy but may develop a slight oxidation called patina over time. To prevent this, it's important to fully dry your hands after contact with water.
What is patina? How can I prevent it or restore my jewelry to its full luster?
3
Patina is a natural surface change that forms on copper, brass, and silver when they’re exposed to air, moisture, and skin oils, often appearing as a darkened or aged finish. To help prevent patina, keep jewelry dry, store it in an airtight container, and remove it before water exposure. To restore its shine, gently polish with a soft cloth, use a metal-safe cleaner, or try a simple home remedy like salt and lemon water. After cleaning, be sure to rinse and thoroughly dry your jewelry to prevent further oxidation.
What makes us different ?
4
What sets us apart is intention. I’m an intuitive creator who pours soul, purpose, and energy into every piece I make. Each crystal is carefully chosen for its quality and natural power—these pieces aren’t just beautiful, they’re meant to be felt.
I source as locally as possible within the United States, while also working directly with small, generational mining families in places like India, Afghanistan, and Africa to ensure exceptional quality and ethical sourcing. Sustainability matters deeply to me, which is why I use recyclable materials in both my packaging and wire wrapping whenever possible.
